THE PROJECT
Since 2015, the Consorzio Futuro in Ricerca (CFR) has been the Accredited Innovation Centre to the High Technology Network of the Emilia Romagna Region.
It is a non-profit organisation, with public and private participation, which aims to promote the development and enhancement of human, scientific, technological and economic resources in and around the city of Ferrara.
The Consortium promotes and supports research, innovation and technology transfer, acting as privileged interlocutor for Universities, Research Centres, Public Authorities, Industrial Companies, in Italy and abroad, fostering encounters between the generators of know-how, industrial organisations and the world of work.
THE CHALLENGE
A team of lawyers and consultants took up the challenge of implementing an objective evaluation system, based on a number of economic and mathematical indicators as well as qualitative social contextual considerations, for the definition of preventive risk bands to be associated with all major companies in Emilia Romagna.
THE SOLUTION
Starting with the sharing and digitisation of all historical balance sheet data of 613 companies in the Emilia-Romagna regionwith reference to the five-year period preceding the analysis, we managed to reproduce an automatic calculation system to generate a risk indicator, which can be automatically updated as new economic and financial data are entered over the years.
